Rent to increase at the Tracey Towers

The rent at Tracey Tower's is on the rise, and some tenants say they can't believe the city approved the increase. They say the buildings are in bad shape.

Some tenants say the rent increase is forcing them to move out. Others say the increase is justified since it has been 15 years since the last hike.

The exact amount isn't clear to many of the tenants, and management didn't return News 12 The Bronx's phone calls about the details of the hike.

Tracey Towers is overseen by the Department of Housing Preservation and Development, under the Mitchell-Lama Affordable Housing program.
