Bronx moviegoers may be spared higher prices for now

It's no surprise that things are getting more and more expensive in the city.

Some individual movie ticket prices in Manhattan are already over the $10 mark. But in the Bronx, moviegoers may be spared, at least for now.

The movie ticket price hike is affecting Loews and United Artist theaters in Manhattan. In the Bronx, the big name theaters are run by AMC and National Amusements, which haven't upped prices to date.

Many Parkchester residents who spoke to News 12 The Bronx said they hope movie companies operating in the Bronx don't follow the higher-price trend.
