Three-car accident at 166th Street and Teller Avenue; minor injuries
(1/3/04) MORRISANIA - A recent three-car accident at 166th Street and Teller Avenue was apparently just one of many. Police say the intersection is very dangerous, especially for children.
In the recent accident, three people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. But police and neighborhood residents say car crashes with more serious injuries are common at the intersection. One fireman told News 12 The Bronx he refers to the intersection as "homicide corner."
Police say they do not keep accident statistics by intersection, but department of transportation officials are investigating the matter.
