Outdoor workers in the Bronx trying to keep warm during cold spell

The artic temperatures have outdoor Bronx workers doing all they can to keep warm.

Sanitation workers, postal workers and police officers all work outside no matter what the weather is like. To keep warm they dress in layers, wear boots and heavy jackets, and try to keep busy.

One sanitation worker says he just tries to keep moving and once in a while he'll jump inside the truck to defrost a bit. He says standing still is when you really feel how cold it is.

Since the middle of the week, temperatures in the Bronx have dipped down below freezing and are expected to remain that way for the remainder of the week. With the wind chill this week, temperatures could feel like they are in the single digits.
