Doctors warn BX residents to dress in layers during dangerously cold weather

With the temperatures heading into the single digits Thursday, doctors say it's easy to get frostbite.

It's expected to feel below zero outside, so doctors say dress in layers. Symptoms of frostbite include feeling pins and needles and then numbness. They say it's best to stay indoors if possible.

According to the American Red Cross, residents should follow these tips when it's this cold outside:-Dress in layers-Wear a heavy coat-Cover exposed areas-avoid alcohol, tobacco and standing in the same place for a period of time
