Audit finds problems with inventory records at some BX Community Boards
A recent audit found problems with eight of the 12 Bronx Community Boards inventory records.
Auditors from the city comptroller's office reviewed the inventory records of the 12 Bronx Community Boards and found eight of them did not properly tag inventory items. According to the district manager at Community Board 11, every board is required to have ID tags and serial numbers on its equipment.
Auditors found no problem with Community Board 11's inventory, but at Community Board 3 in Morrisania, they found no serial numbers on any of the board's 19 items. Community Board 1 also had items that were not tagged.
Following the audit, all 12 boards wrote to the comptroller's office saying that the problems had been corrected.
