Borough president launches new campaign for a 'Healthy Bronx'

The borough president announced a new plan Wednesday to help residents get healthier.

More than 50 Bronx and city agencies met to share health resources and research as part of Adolfo Carrion's new campaign called "Healthy Bronx." The campaign is aimed at helping Bronx residents become healthier. Recent studies have shown that out of all the boroughs, the Bronx has the highest rates of obesity, diabetes, asthma, tobacco use, HIV and AIDS.

But Bronx groups say residents have to want to become healthy.

For more information on the new campaign, call the borough president's office at (718) 590-6431.
