As arctic air continues to blast the Bronx, it's wreaking havoc on the plumbing at an apartment building in Belmont. Bursting pipes at the Twin Parks apartment building has caused water to fall from the overhang of the dwelling, forming ice on the streets. And tenants complain they have no hot water in their apartments and say they haven't been able to shower in about two weeks.News 12 The Bronx contacted RY Management about the problem. The company's president confirms poor insulation and the extreme cold resulted in several pipes bursting. Management says repairmen are now fixing the problem, bringing heaters in to melt the ice and preparing to replace the broken pipes. A HPD spokesperson says they are sending an inspector to the building as well.
