Two Bronx schools will participate in the new 'Adopt-A-School' Program

Private companies are helping to make a difference in public education. Two Bronx schools have been selected for a new 'Adopt-A-School' Program.

Infinity Broadcasting Company, which runs several radio stations including 1010 WINS, CBS News Radio 880 and WFAN Sports Radio, has adopted five schools throughout New York City.

The Bronx Collaborative High School of Technology has been partnered up with CBS News Radio 880. One thing the station will provide is exposing students to the radio business.

Infinity Broadcasting will also adopt P.S. 28 in the Bronx since the president of the company attended the school. The Infinity headquarters staff will help the school with its book collection and hold a book drive to benefit the library.

The Bronx is the only borough to have two schools adopted; every other borough only has one
