Family and friends set up memorial in the Bronx for soldier killed in Iraq
Army Private Luis Moreno was killed while guarding a gas station in Baghdad.
Moreno, 19, died six days after he was shot. His father, Manuel, flew to his bedside in England to say goodbye after being informed by military officials about what happened to his son.
Family and friends have set up a candle memorial in honor of Moreno, who moved from the Dominican Republic to the U.S. in 1991. He's described as a good guy who considered himself an American. His neighbor says that Moreno died for his country and that's how he would have wanted it.
The family is still waiting to hear from the Army as to when their son's body will be flown back the United States.
Moreno's family says he had hoped to become a police officer someday.
