Crews repair water main break on Jerome Avenue in Highbridge

Crews worked overnight to fix a water main break caused by a construction mishap on Jerome Avenue.

Things are slowly getting back to normal on Jerome Avenue after a construction working on a sewer hit a 20-inch water main. Gallons of water flooded the roadway causing traffic delays and damaging some businesses.

While some residents felt lucky because they never lost water service, some businesses owners were not so lucky. The owner of a Laundromat says he still has no hot water, which means no business.

Fire officials say the water main that was hit was not on the city's map.
