Ex-Fordham coach prepares for new job as head coach at Richmond

Dave Clawson was back at Fordham finishing some work before heading to Virginia.

Clawson, who resigned as head coach of the Fordham football team, was back at the Rose Hill campus Tuesday tying up some loose ends. Clawson is leaving Fordham to take a job as head coach at the University of Richmond because it's part of the Atlantic 10. Clawson calls the full scholarship conference the premier 1-Double A conference in the country.

The Fordham job was Clawson's first as a head coach. He turned the Rams into a team that was 0-11 into a national power that earned the honor of being named Patriot League Champions.

Clawson says Fordham will always have a place in his heart.
