Study finds kids living in shelters in the BX have high rates of asthma

A new study found that half of the kids living in homeless shelters in the Bronx and other boroughs have asthma symptoms.

The study, which was published in "The Archives of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine," was conducted by researchers at Columbia University, the Children's Health Fund, Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Researchers also found that the children with asthma were not taking the necessary medication.
