Parents fear one of the entrances to Lehman H.S. poses a danger

Parents are worried that an entrance at Lehman High School may be unsafe.

The high school was built directly over the Hutchinson River Parkway. So parents say they are worried for their kids' safety because one of the entrances to the school is located right near the highway. They believe it's an accident waiting to happen.

Some students agree that the location of the entrance is dangerous, but others say they are old enough to stay out of trouble. However, the kids admit that security at that entrance is non-existent so many students go there when they cut class.

Parents say they intend to ask the Board of Education to consider putting a fence in the area.
