Trio of Bronx teams compete in the Catholic League Class A Tournament

Cardinal Hayes, Fordham Prep and Spellman were all looking to advance to the semi-finals.

In the first game, Cardinal Hayes took on LaSalle. Hayes was down by three but came back to tie the game at 38. The game went into three overtimes and in the final seconds of the third overtime, LaSalle took control, winning 66-60.

Then in the next game, Fordham Prep went up against St. John's Prep. Fordham Prep kept the game close but in the second half, St. John's came on strong eliminating Fordham by a score of 52-40.

Finally, Spellman took on Moore Catholic. Solid play and defense had Spellman up by 13 in the third quarter. Spellman went on to win it by a score of 60-44. They now advance to the semi-finals.
