BX video store worker who claims she was raped testifies against ex-manager

A woman who claims a manager at a Bronx video store raped her took the stand Monday.

Six women have accused Charles Cabble of raping and sexually assaulting them while he was a manager at Hollywood Video in Co-op City. One of the victims testified Monday that Cabble raped her at her home.

Cabble's defense, however, maintains that he did not harm any of the women. The defense insists the women made up the accounts of sexual assault and are using the criminal trial in order to bolster a civil trial against Cabble. The defense is also trying to prove that one of the women had a prior sexual relationship with Cabble.

A total of 11 women have now joined in filing a civil suit against Cabble and Hollywood Video. Lawyers involved in the civil suit say that case probably will not begin until next year.
