The Bronx digs out from the latest winter storm

The latest storm has left Bronx residents scraping, digging and plowing their way out of the snow.

The Department of Transportation, which has been out in force from the start of the snowfall, will continue to clear Bronx roads through Wednesday. The DOT is using 65 spreaders and nearly 50 plows to complete the task.

A DOT chief said over the years the department has learned that certain areas of the Bronx require more work than others. He added that his crews will continue to work on those areas until they are safe for residents.

If your street has not been plowed, you can call the New York City information number 311 to be put in contact with the Department of Sanitation.
