Commuters say road construction on I-95 near Co-op City is getting worse

Drivers say construction confusion on I-95 near Co-op City is getting worse.

Commuters say the lane separation detour near Exit 8C may force drivers, who are not familiar with the road, to unintentionally go over the Throgs Neck Bridge. They also say there are no signs for the newest detour, so confused drivers wind up slowing down and this adds extra time to the other drivers' commute. A spokesperson for the New York State Department of Transportation says a number of complaints have been made about the new detour. The DOT says it plans to make improvements for drivers in the Bronx immediately.
