Bronx athletes go head to head in the quarterfinals of the NIT

It was Bronx athlete Juel Wiggan going up against fellow Bronx resident Allan Ray in the quarterfinals of the NIT. Wiggans is a junior for the Scarlet Knights and Ray plays for the Wildcats.

Ray came out on fire for Villanova, hitting his first 3 shots--all from behind the arc. He scored 9 of Villanova's first 13 points of the game, but was held to just 5 points the rest of the game after being shut down by Wiggan's tough defense.

Wiggans had 7 assists in the game, helping Rutgers win 72-60. Rutgers now advances to the NIT semifinals at Madison Square Garden.
