Fordham athletes strut their stuff in fashion and talent show fundraiser

(04/25/04) FORDHAM - Fordham Rams athletes walked the fashion runway for a good cause. The second annual Fordham Student-athlete Walk This Way Fashion and Talent Show was recently held at the Rose Hill Gym.

Athletes from the Fordham basketball, track, football and volleyball teams strutted their stuff in front of hundreds of their fellow students. The show was a fundraiser for the St. Rita's tutoring program at Roosevelt High School, which is located across the street from Fordham University in the Bronx. Last year, the benefit raised $3,500 for the tutoring program. This year, the participants hope to double their contribution in order to buy computers and more school supplies for the kids.

The athletes wore designs from some of the top designers in the country, who were donating their time for the show. Fordham student-designer Christina Wynn also had six of her designs displayed in the show.
