Manhattan's baseball team takes rubber game of weekend series over St. Peter's
(05/02/04) VAN CORTLANDT PARK - Manhattan and St. Peter's finished up their three-game weekend series at Van Cortlandt Park on Sunday. It was a rubber game of the series after the two teams split a double-header on Saturday.
The Jaspers entered the game tied with Siena for fourth place in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), and only four teams in the conference make the playoffs.
Jaspers' lefty Chris Cody pitched eight and a third innings with 9 strikeouts. Behind Cody's strong effort on the mound, Manhattan won the rubber game of the series over St. Peter's by the score of 6-3.
