Police searching for suspects who beat, shot and robbed a Wakefield man

Police are searching for as many as three suspects who they say beat and shot a Wakefield man and then robbed his home Tuesday morning.

Police say 54-year-old Linton Clark was shot once in his left shoulder and once in the right elbow, and had both his arms broken by the attackers. Police say the suspects then robbed his Paulding Avenue home.

Clark was able to make his way outside of his home after the attack and a neighbor heard his cries for help. Neighbors say Clark is friendly and say they couldn't think why anyone would want to hurt him.

Clark was taken to Jacobi Medical Center, where a spokesperson says he's recovering from injuries that are not life threatening.
