Bronx family prays for soldier's safe return as he prepares to deploy to Iraq

One Bronx family is using prayer to help them deal with the fact that someone they love is now being deployed to Iraq.

Lt. Manual Gomez is a third generation soldier whose father died fighting in Vietnam. He has already been called to active duty four times and served in the Persian Gulf War. He is now set for duty again and says there is no greater honor than to serve his country.

Gomez, who is also an NYPD officer, handles interrogation and counter intelligence for the Army. He believes the violence in Iraq will only get worse before it gets better.

His wife, mother and friends pray for his safe return. His mother says she raised her son to be a good soldier and a good catholic.
