Fordham Prep goes for fourth straight title in Catholic League championship

Fordham Prep was looking for its fourth straight title at this year's Catholic League citywide championship.

In the 100-meter dash, Eric Pettaway from Mt. St. Michael took control late in the race and won with a time of 10.6. That score earned him the title of the fastest in the city.

Over in the 400-meter run, another Mt. St. Michael runner took the top price. Waleed Amer had a time of 48.7. Finally in the 110-meter hurdles, John Cerutti from St. Anthony's won with a time of 14.95.

And Fordham Prep won its fourth straight team championship, led by Brian McCabe in the 1600 and 3200-meter runs, Dave Skehan in the javelin throw, Dan Doherty in the long jump and Greg Sans in the 400-meter hurdles.
