Fire that tore through a Tremont bodega and hair salon ruled suspicious

An early morning blaze Wednesday at a bodega in Tremont has been ruled suspicious by fire officials.

The fire started at Las'3 Jay Deli Grocery and spread to Myra's Unisex Salon next door. According to fire officials, it was the second fire at the bodega in just four months. The store had not even been completely rebuilt since the first fire.

Luzqueydy Korman, the owner of Las'3 Jay Deli Grocery, says both he and his family are going through a tough time. Korman says although he has insurance, he doesn't think he will rebuild. As for the salon owner, she says she did not have insurance so she will likely call it quits.

Meantime, fire officials are continuing to investigate what caused the blaze. They say the cause of the first fire was electrical.
