Bronx soldier who helped apprehend Saddam Hussein returns home

Bronx resident Private First Class Jeans Oscar Cruz Jr. was welcomed home from Iraq by family and friends Friday. Private Cruz helped apprehend Saddam Hussein.

Officials say after four days of stakeouts, Private Cruz and the Fourth Infantry Division captured Hussein.

Cruz's neighborhood has selected him to represent them in the Puerto Rican Day Parade. According to Cruz, he was just doing his job and would do it all over again. The 23-year-old says he is just happy to be home to his wife and new born child.

Private Cruz leaves for Texas in two weeks and could be back in Iraq in September. He has six months left of service before he can come back to the Bronx.
