Guardian Angels hold conference at Fordham U. to mark 25th anniversary

(06/12/04) FORDHAM - The group known as the Guardian Angels have now been protecting Bronx residents for 25 years.

They are a group of volunteers who patrol Bronx neighborhoods and host after-school programs. Their goal is to protect people from crime in neighborhoods and to help at-risk urban youth.

Founding members say the group has grown from 13 original Bronx members to 10,000 worldwide. On Saturday, they marked their achievements with a conference at Fordham University.
