Country Club residents demand changes to one road they say is dangerous

Speeding cars and traffic accidents are just a few things residents in Country Club want to see changed along Country Club Road.

Some residents say the area of Country Club Road between Stadium Avenue, and Kennelworth and Siegfried places needs to be converted into a one-way street to help stop speeding. But others disagree saying it will not stop speeding. Instead some would like to see speed bumps and stop signs added along the roadway.

The residents took their complaints to Community Board 10 where officials have submitted safety suggestions to the Department of Transportation.

So far the DOT has given preliminary approval to putting a speed bump on Stadium Avenue. Officials are now awaiting a decision about whether or not stop signs will be added to Country Club Road.
