Vandals slash car tires along Jackson Avenue

Some Bronx residents living on Jackson Avenue between 149th Street and 152nd woke up Saturday morning to find the tires on their cars slashed.

More than a dozen cars along the street were vandalized overnight. Residents say whoever is responsible mainly stuck to the cars lined up one particular side of the road. According to area residents, the vandalism may be part of a possible scam run by near by Hunts Point body shops. Others believe it was a teen prank.

There is no word from police on any type of investigation into the vandalism. No calls were made to 911 about the incident.
