Hundreds of residents show borough pride by marching in Bronx Day Parade

(06/26/04) MOSHOLU PARKWAY - Hundreds of Bronx residents attended the annual Bronx Day Parade on Saturday. The parade capped off Bronx Week 2004, a celebration of all things "The Bronx."

Residents marched up Mosholu Parkway to show their borough pride. Dozens of different community, cultural and religious groups took part. Many residents say the parade is a true celebration of the borough's diversity. The parade is meant to highlight the best that The Bronx has to offer.

A large food, art and music festival followed the parade. Representatives from Bronx Borough President Adolfo Carrion Junior's office say the parade and weeklong celebration grow into a bigger success every year.
