DEP postpones decision on whether to put water filtration plant in Bronx

The Department of Environmental Protection's decision on whether to build a water filtration plant under the Mosholu Golf Course has been postponed until Thursday.

The decision will bring an end to the debate of whether to place the plant in Westchester at an industrial site or in the Bronx. The DEP surveyed locations in the Bronx and Westchester for the plant.

If the Bronx is chosen, city and state leaders have promised the site would be restored after the project is finished.
