Number Two and Five trains not stopping at the Freeman Street Station

Bronx commuters who take the Number Two and Five trains to the Freeman Street Station are being asked to find an alternate route.

The Freeman Street Station will be closed as of 12:01 a.m. Saturday for extensive renovations. Bronx commuters can take the BX-19 bus to the Simpson or 174th Street stations. A free shuttle bus will be provided every 10 minutes between stops from midnight to 5 a.m. when the bus does not run as frequently.

Construction at the station is expected to last until October.
