New outpatient program for drug and alcohol addictions opens in the Bronx

A new outpatient program designed to help with drug and alcohol addictions officially opened Wednesday in Hunts Point.

The Odyssey House outpatient services are free of charge and include individual and group therapy sessions. Odyssey House President Doctor Peter Provet says the program helps individuals stop drug or alcohol use and helps them regain the skills they had in the past. Officials running the program say it is unique because it also helps entire families cope with addictions.

According to Odyssey House officials, all of their clients seeking outpatient services live in the Bronx. They say they are hoping to change the lives of individuals as well as change entire Bronx communities.
