Monroe College to start a varsity baseball program in September

Monroe College will be starting a varsity baseball program in September.

Monroe will be bringing in a team to play fall ball and in the spring they will play in Region 15. The school has yet to confirm a site to play their games, and hope to play at Taft High School.

Kiko Reyes has been hired to be the team's first coach. Reyes is a member of the Lehman College Hall of Fame. He feels the new Monroe program will fill a void for junior college baseball in the Bronx.
