Bronx residents mourn on the one-year anniversary of Celia Cruz's death

A hundred family members and close friends gathered Friday at Woodlawn Cemetery for a small private memorial to honor the one-year anniversary of salsa legend, Celia Cruz's death.

The Cuban-born singer known as the "Queen of Salsa" died on July 13, 2003 at age the 77. Thousands of Bronx residents attended her funeral last year, a testament for the love Bronxites had for her music.

Cruz's mausoleum will be open to the public Friday afternoon.
