H.S. Hoop Jam Fest offers coaches better chance to scout talent
For years, summer basketball camps have been looked at by college coaches as the best way to scout high school players. One program that receives high praise is the High School Hoop Jam Fest.
The hoop fest, which was held at Holy Cross, lets scouts see how kids play within a structured environment. The program was created because in other camps the players knew there would be scouts and would often play selfishly to gain more attention for themselves.
College coaches like the hoop fest because it allows them to fully scout a player's ability.
