Number 6 subway line rolls into first place as the best in New York City
Commuters in the Bronx who use the Number 6 line will be happy to know that the Straphangers Campaign has rated it the best subway line in New York City.
The annual report, which is based on official MTA data, lists the best and worst subway lines citywide. The lines are judged on how long commuters have to wait for a train, how often a train breaks down, how crowded the train gets, how clean a train is, and how well commuters can hear announcements inside the train.
Other lines that rank the best in the Bronx are the D line, the Number 4 line, the 1 and 9, the Number 2 line and the Number 5 train.
Officials from the Straphangers Campaign say they hope service doesn't decline with the MTA facing some tough financial times.
