Murdock Ave. in Wakefield becomes one-way; some are unexpectedly ticketed

(07/25/04) WAKEFIELD - Some neighbors on Murdock Avenue in Wakefield say they received parking tickets but were not told about a new traffic change.

The residents say they were not given any notice that the Department of Transportation was turning their two-way street into a one-way. They say the signs suddenly appeared Friday, and the rules were enforced that same day.

About ten residents say they were ticketed. Many of the neighbors say they do not mind that their street is one-way but would have appreciated a few days' notice.
