In Depth: Bronx Missing Persons

It's a parents worst nightmare that actually came true for one Bronx family.

Jeremiah Huger was only 4 years old when he was abducted from outside his apartment in the Bronx in 1985. His parents were so distraught by what happened that they both turned to drugs.

After years of struggling, Jeremiah's mother got off drugs and is now focusing on what really happened to her son. Police say Jeremiah was taken by a tall black man who called him by name. One theory that came in up their investigation was that the boy may have been sold.

Jeremiah's mother says she had nothing to do with what happened to her son and believes an abusive, jealous lover may have made good on a threat.

Police are still investigating. Anyone who may have information is asked to call the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children at 1-800-THE-LOST or 1-800-843-5678.
