Carrion meets with law enforcement officials to discuss keeping the Bronx safe

Bronx Borough President Adolfo Carrion Jr. met with NYPD officials and members of the Office of Emergency Management to discuss what safety measures are being taken to keep the Bronx safe.

Although the borough has been on heightened alert since September 11th, the latest terror warnings come at a time when the Republican National Convention is set to come to New York City. In addition, some events pertaining to the convention will be held in the Bronx, which is why Carrion was concerned.

Carrion said after hearing what safety precautions are in place he is confident that those visiting the Bronx as well as residents will be in good hands.
