Kingsbridge Heights homeowner continues fight to get city to prune trees

A homeowner in Kingsbridge Heights is continuing his fight to get the city to take care of the overgrown trees on his block, which he says is causing damage to his home.

The homeowner says he has made numerous calls to the city parks department to try and get a crew to prune the trees on his block. He says the trees are clogging his gutters and causing damage to his roof. So far his calls have gone unanswered. News 12 The Bronx contacted the parks department and was told that a crew would come to prune the trees the last week of August.

A crew never showed up and now the homeowner says he dreads the fall. He says he doesn't want any money from the city he just wants the trees cut back. So far he says he has spent $15,000 on repairs.
