Lady Rams soccer team defeats Hofstra but pays a price
The Lady Rams soccer team is off to a 3-0 start for the first time in school history. But the win took a a backseat to season ending injury.
There was no score in the game until the 55th minute of the second half when Liane Schoenstein went around two different Hofstra defenders, kicked the ball to Beth Purcell, who put it in the net. Within five minutes the Rams scored again and went on to win by a score of 2-1.
Despite the win, the joy was overshadowed by the season ending injury to Katie Noon. She suffered a broken leg after a collision with a Hofstra player.
