Bronx residents remember September 11th with memorial services
Residents throughout the Bronx came together to honor those killed and injured in the terror attacks three years ago.
Many gathered together at the Bronx Veterans Affairs Medical Center to give thanks. One attendee called the fallen police and fireman heroes and thanked them for saving his life.
This sentiment was echoed at the ceremony held at the American Legion in Edgewater Park. Many who attended wished to remember loved ones that died on that day.
In Soundview Park, local police and firefighters gathered to commemorate their fallen comrades. In addition to all these memorials, a group of New Yorkers launched an e-mail campaign urging residents to stop by the local firehouse and police stations to leave a note of thanks.
