Lehman Lions football team win season opener

Lehman Lions football team wins season opener against South Shore, 24-12.

Three years ago the Lehman Lions football team was one of the best in the city. They made it all the way to the PSAL Championships before losing to Sheepshead Bay. After a pair of 5-3 seasons, Coach Carmine Colasanto is thinking of winning a championship title once again.

The season opener against South Shore did not disappoint. At the half-time mark Colasantos lions were up 12-0. South Shore answered back with a touchdown to close the gap to 12-6. But a one-touchdown gap was as close as South Shore would get. The Lions pulled it out with a 24-12 victory.
