Plan to put full-time school nurses in all Bronx schools proposed by city officials

City officials will be conducting hearings on a proposal to alleviate the school nurse shortage in Bronx schools.

The proposal by the City Council looks to have a full-time nurse in each and every Bronx public, private and parochial school with at least 200 students. The Holy Rosary School in Pelham Gardens is just one of the schools that has had trouble over the years with nurses.

The first hearing will be held Monday, September 20.
