Bronx dad shot to death, two others wounded outside Morris Heights building

(10/10/04) MORRIS HEIGHTS - A 23-year-old Bronx dad was shot to death early Sunday morning. His cousin and a friend were also shot, but they survived and are now in stable condition, recovering from their wounds.

Family members are mourning the loss of Robert Roman (pictured). Police say Roman, his 27-year-old cousin Jose Santiago, and Roman's 20-year-old friend Danny Baez were standing in front of 1702 Grand Avenue in Morris Heights as Roman was waiting for a ride with family members after visiting his aunt's house. Cops say two men then got into an argument with the group and began shooting.

Roman's girlfriend and their 3-year-old daughter were also outside the building, and they witnessed the shootings.

No arrests have been made in this incident so far. Detectives are still investigating.
