Police arrest four suspects in Eastchester armed robbery after car chase

Police were in pursuit of four suspects wanted for an armed robbery of an auto body shop in Eastchester Thursday. Three of the men were arrested in Westchester and the fourth was arrested in the Bronx Thursday afternoon.

Authorities say while in pursuit of the robbers on I-95, one passenger pulled out a gun and began to fire at the police car behind him. No police were injured in the shootout. Cops say the suspects then crashed into another car but continued driving to a Home Depot on Main Street in New Rochelle where they abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.

Police searched the area in New Rochelle and arrested three men. The fourth suspect was caught later in the Bronx after a large manhunt by helicopter and on foot.

No one was injured in the shootout. Police say the investigation is ongoing and the charges are still pending.
