New study finds many Bronx pharmacies not offering best prescription drug prices

A new study released by the New York Public Interest Research Group (NYPIRG) Thursday found that many Bronx pharmacies are not offering the best prices for prescription drugs.

The study was a survey of pharmacies in the Bronx, New York City and around the country. It found that residents in the Bronx pay higher prices for prescription drugs than residents around the country.

The survey also showed that many of the pharmacies would not provide a price list for prescription drugs. A New York State law requires pharmacies to have a list of the 150 most prescribed prescription drugs available to anyone who asks for it.
