Thousands of cyclists participate in 10th annual Tour de Bronx

(10/24/04) BOTANICAL GARDEN - Thousands of cyclists took over Bronx streets and highways on Sunday for the 10th annual Tour de Bronx.

There were four starting lines for the event; riders chose their starting point based on how many miles they wanted to travel. Borough President Adolfo Carrion, Jr. said he hoped participants rode away with a good impression of the Bronx. The New York Botanical Garden hosted a finish line festival complete with lunch and live music.

The 2004 Tour de Bronx was co-hosted by the Bronx Tourism Council and the Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation.
