P.S. 83 goes high tech with security thanks to a generous donation

Parents in the Pelham Bay and Morris Park area with kids attending P.S. 83 can now rest easy knowing their children will be safer.

That's because P.S. 83 on Rhinelander Avenue recently installed a high-tech security system with money donated by the city and Suburban Federal Savings Bank. Cameras, monitors and intercoms are just a few of the gadgets installed at the school.

School officials say the system will be more convenient and efficient in maintaining security.
